In order to inspire new thoughts and activities, the Salzburg Global Seminar brings together remarkable people from various backgrounds. It also links local innovators with international resources and cultivates long-lasting networks and collaborations in order to promote innovative, just, and sustainable developments.
Salzburg Global Seminar uses a highly competitive procedure to choose interns from all around the world. They provide a variety of non-accredited, three-month internship programs that not only help students advance their knowledge and abilities but also give them access to the wonderful network of Salzburg Global Fellows, people committed to bringing about positive change.
Applications are presently being accepted for their internship program in 2024.
Positions for Internships Available:
1. Communication Internship: Salzburg Global Seminar is seeking a recent university graduate with journalistic writing experience, passionate about creating features, stories, and multimedia content to showcase the impact of their programs. This role is part of a dynamic Public Affairs Team.
2. Development Internship: Salzburg Global is looking for an intern in their Salzburg office to assist with background research, concept notes, proposals, reports, and administrative support for their programs.
3. Library Internship: Salzburg Global Seminar is in search of a proactive library studies graduate to support the creation of institutional archives, manage their private library, and assist with programs. This unique opportunity involves transforming digital documents into a usable archive and serving as the point of contact for their private collection.
4. Program Internship: Salzburg Global Seminar is seeking self-motivated interns to assist with program research, administration, delivery, and writing/editing at their headquarters in Schloss Leopoldskron, Salzburg, Austria.
5. Hong Kong Universities Internship: Salzburg Global Seminar invites students from universities in Hong Kong, whether about to enter, currently enrolled, or recent graduates, to apply for the Summer 2024 Internship Program.

Eligibility:
Although undergraduates with at least three years of approved study may submit an application, consideration is given to those who have just graduated from college or are just beginning their graduate studies and whose interests and qualifications complement Salzburg Global’s programs and activities.
For the Program Internship or the Development Internship, undergraduates pursuing a bachelor’s degree who have a keen interest in one of Salzburg Global’s program areas are eligible to apply.
Only candidates with an undergraduate or graduate degree in a related discipline are eligible for the Communications Team and Library internships.
Given that the working language of Salzburg Global is English, having a strong command of the language is a requirement for internships there. Writing and communication skills in English must be at a basic level.

Eligibility Criteria
While undergraduates who have completed at least three years of accredited study may apply, preference is given to recent college graduates or those in the early stages of graduate studies whose interests and skills align with Salzburg Global’s programs and activities. Undergraduates working toward a bachelor’s degree with a strong interest in one of Salzburg Global’s program areas may apply for either the Program Internship or the Development Internship.
The Communications Team and Library Internships are only open to applicants with an undergraduate or graduate degree in relevant fields. A good command of the English language is essential for an internship at Salzburg Global, given that English is the organization’s working language. Proficiency in writing and communication in English is a fundamental requirement.
