The term “CV” stands for curriculum vitae.
A CV is a written summary of a person’s accomplishments, which may include education, publications, accomplishments, awards, and a great deal more.

In order to impress the employer with your breadth of expertise and strong grounding in the subject, you’ll often be attempting to add up or summarize all you’ve worked for and accomplished in detail. Your primary contact information, such as your home phone number and email address, should be mentioned. Due to the intense competition at the UN, we highly advise avoiding including your photo, date of birth, marital status, religion, or any other personally identifiable information. Given the situation of the global economy, this will help you compete with employers who might not be receiving adequate information.
Write down a small but precise professional summary
We urge job seekers to write a succinct but accurate summary because the employer won’t have much time to read it, which could lead to an application or CV that isn’t returned. This advice applies especially to people seeking employment with the UN.

A solid summary should consist of two to four sentences, with three being the ideal number.Include your years of experience, your work title, two to three of your best accomplishments, and, although it isn’t specifically mentioned on your CV, your top skill, which should be a part of the job description.
Write down a list of your educational qualifications and development
Include the name and location of any colleges you have attended because this establishes your background and could signify special accreditation. When you’ve finished listing your academic achievements, go on to describe your degree, your major speciality, the university and/or educational institution that awarded you that degree, and the specialization you decided to pursue. Include any lessons you did that weren’t part of this educational dilemma, such as online courses or short-term courses that were applicable to the job you’re applying for. The best place to list any extracurricular activities you desire to include in the report is at the end.
Remember the number one goal is to keep the CV short and precise. Not forgetting the most important aspect of a CV always add references of your previous employers or current one to help the employer in decision making.
