2. Secretaries – Registry

Qualifications and Experience

  • Applicants must have at least 5 “O” Levels including English Language and National or Higher National Diploma in Secretarial Studies or an equivalent qualification from a reputable institution.
  • The applicants must have at least one (1) year post qualification experience

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidates should:

  • Be able to type 35 words per minute, 80 words per minute Shorthand/Dictaphone or equivalent;
  • Creating, updating, maintaining and keeping departmental database, files and filing system;
  • Assisting in the recruitment and selection of staff;
  • Assisting in servicing committees;
  • Assisting with day to day efficient operation of the office
  • Maintaining the Head of Department`s diary;
  • Making travel arrangements for the Head of Department and expatriates;

3. Teaching Assistant: Human Resource Management (1 Post)

Candidate must have a BCOM Honours Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent in the relevant discipline with at least a 2.1 from a recognized University and must be committed to pursuing further studies

4. Teaching Assistants Accountancy (3 Posts)

Qualifications and Experience

5. Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor: Human Resource Management (2 Posts)

The successful candidate will be expected to provide academic leadership to the Department, initiate, guide and contribute basic and applied research in the Department. Successful applicants must be able supervise both undergraduate and postgraduate students in their fields of specialisation and conduct collaborative research and be involved in university service and community engagement

Qualifications and Experience

  • Applicants should hold a PhD degree or registered PhD (attach proof of registration) in the field of Human Resources Management or equivalent.  A Master’s degree and foundation first degree in the area of specialization are a must
  • Applicants must have a minimum of two years university teaching experience.  Proven record of publications and ability to mobilize funds will be added advantages. The curriculum vitae (CV) should contain a detailed list of publications; clearly specifying titles of publications, journal names, volumes, page numbers details, dates published, name(s) of publishers and name(s) of co-authors if any. Publications should be categorized into: books, monographs, refereed and non-refereed journals, chapters in books, etc.

6. Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Full Professor Social Work (4 Posts)

Qualifications and Experience

  • Applicants should hold a Master of Science degree in Social Work passed with at least a merit; and
  • A foundation first degree in Social Work;
  • A PhD in Social Work would be an added advantage;
  • Applicants must have at least one (1) year Social work practice;
  • The successful candidate should also be registered with the Council of Social Work.

  • The successful candidate should be able to teach some of the following courses in Social Work:
  • Counselling
  • Social Policy and Administration
  • Introduction to Social Work with Groups

7. Director ICT (1 Post)

PREAMBLE

This is a Senior Management post which requires the ability to assimilate and analyse information quickly and accurately, think strategically and ensure all University ICT resources are managed efficiently to support the institution’s operations.  The Director shall report to the Vice Chancellor. 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Applications must hold a Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent and a first Degree in related field. The successful applicant should have thorough knowledge of designing enterprise ICT infrastructure and developing information systems for a diverse academic and administrative community in addition to at least six (6) years’ experience at managerial level.  The successful candidate should also possess the following personal attributes:

  • Good working knowledge of Information Governance , risk and its application within IT;
  • A clear understanding of University ICT Policy;
  • A thorough understanding of ISO 2000 requirements for ICT governance advisory services;
  • Demonstrable knowledge of hardware, software and operating systems;
  • Be a creative, innovative and strategic thinker;
  • Be a proactive member of the University Management team;
  • The ability to relate at the highest levels in the profession and beyond;
  • Good leadership skills;
  • Possession of good interpersonal skills and a character of high integrity.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contributing to the University’s Strategic Plan through the designing of sound Information Technology Strategic Plan, Policies and Procedures;
  • Supporting Faculties and Departments in the achievement of their goals by designing and implementing information systems of diverse protocols and platforms to support Education 5.0 and other administrative needs;
  • Advising management on issues of Information and Communication Technology by designing relevant ICT courses for academic staff, administrative staff and students.
  • Overseeing the development, implementation and maintenance of Information Technology Policy and Systems in the University by directing, assigning, coordinating, reviewing and evaluating the work of IT staff for maximum productivity.
  • Overseeing the identification of ICT user needs for the University by interpreting ICT needs for the whole university and developing functional or departmental ICT strategies aligned to the University-wide strategic plan;
  • Formulate and/or review cross-cutting and specific ICT policies and procedures;
  • Managing the smooth running for all ICT systems, including anti-virus software ,print services and email provision;
  • Provide appropriate and timely ICT solutions and responses to University operational process challenges;
  • Manage the regular infrastructure audits and identify areas that need improvement as well as continuously upgrade hardware and software technologies in line with global trends;
  • Ensuring that all ICT systems in the University are always fully functional and up to date;
  • Performing any other duties assigned by working effectively with superiors and subordinates, information systems managers, staff, students and partners in managing the University’s technology resources and support facilities, local, wide, wireless, internet, cloud and intranet networks, telephone and all related software program.

The successful candidate must be of a mature disposition and will be expected to provide high level executive and administrative support to the Vice Chancellor and ensure the smooth coordination of activities in the Vice Chancellor’s office.

Qualifications and Experience 

  • Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in English and Communication or its equivalent;
  • A Master of Arts degree in English/Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics or its equivalent;
  • At least two (2) years’ masters relevant post-qualification experience;

  • Services the Vice Chancellor’s Office, scheduled and Adhoc meetings;
